A very windy day so I took my car instead of the bike..
I actually started trying to find any student parking, which I know i hate surface parking, but a nice parking building would be nice :3
I eventually just parked it on High St. which worked fine.
Started the day with an Ecology lecture, mainly talking about Climate Change and the relationship between ecology and politics.
I then had a Chemistry lecture, which covered intermolecular forces, relatively simple and for me it was a recap of what I already know, but since it’s the start of the term, I guess it would make sense if someone didn’t previously have this knowledge.
I had 1h of free time, so I drove down to Morrison’s and got a small baguette and salt and vinegar pringles for lunch cuz i was hungry, followed by another 10 minutes of looking for parking, eventually ending up parallel parking on High St. again before I could finally start eating in the Sir Duncan Rice Library for 15 minutes.
Another Chemistry lecture, this time on entropy and how to calculate entropy. which there were FINALLY some calculus!!!
After another 1h, I had a lab session for ecology. Though it was only on pipette skills which is second nature to me, but it was still interesting nonetheless.. we were tasked with 3 food dyes to make a spectrum, that was red, orange, yellow, green, blue, violet. We could instantly create red and blue since those 2 we had and were obvious, tho we didn’t yet see a yellow in the centre.. I immediately went for violet trying to mix red/blue, which made some shitty grey solution.. RIP. Once we noticed yellow we could create orange and green.. NOONE EVER MADE A PURPLE WTFFF… apparently it was a systematic mishap from the lab technicians who they had the dyes as powders in previous demos, at which it was possible to create violet.. oh well
