2008

November:

I for some stupid reason remember buying a chocolate caterpillar cake for my 2nd birthday. I have no fucking idea why or even more importantly, HOW, I have a memory from when I was 1 year old, but here I am somehow..

2009

December:

3 year old goofy thoughts I forgot whether I could sleep on December 24/25. I remember forgetting and I obviously struggled but got there in the end.

2010

May:

3 year old me had an obsession with Sonic the Hedgehog. I remember my mother making me eat fruits so I could play on the Xbox and she would turn off the news for once :))))

2012

June:

May felt too long for 5yo me. So I was happy when June came :)
I had an obsession with clocks, so I remember a friend I had who was in Y6 gave me a digital clock light-up cube as a present as they left for secondary school.

August:

We took a holiday to Menorca, Spain via plane. I hate planes.

December:

I remember a heavy amount of snowfall (SSR EVENT CARD: Snow in England) cancelling school and playing in the backgarden with my family. Fun times.

2013

August:

We got a puppy to partner our dog! Our collie, Rosie, got a cocker spaniel sister, Poppy!

September:

Granny and Granddad moved from Newcastle-Upon-Tyne to Southam! This meant our trip to visit them went from 4½ hours to 20 minutes. No longer would we be taking 3 stops cuz I was getting carsick!!

October:

Poppy made us all laugh to death when she decided that Hallowe'en pumpkins were spawn of Satan and wouldn't stop barking at them

December 1:

Our then cat, Mollie, dies.

2014

March:

I went alone to my Grandma's because my brother and mother were in Disneyland Paris and I wanted a week off school! The day I went, I remember my dad watching the end of the opening race of the 2014 F1 Season in Australia where his team's driver, Nico Rosberg, won. He was very happy and celebrated a lot!!

April:

We got a new cat, Millie!
I came across Asphalt 8: Airborne, which was a mobile racing game, which would become a big part of my life for the next few years. It's a shame that it is now a microtransaction-riddled mess. (yes it still exists!)
I watched my first full F1 race! Which was the 2014 Bahrain Grand Prix. Of course Pastor Maldonado caused such a goofy ass crash. He had a reputation for doing that..

August:

Poppy was too chaotic, so we had to give her to a friend. They enjoyed her to say the least.

August 9:

My youngest brother was born!

2015:

A NEW ERA

January:

First of many moves. From Radford Semele, Royal Leamington Spa to Stockton, Southam.

NEW HOME LOCATION!

August:

We took a holiday to Brittany, France!! We took our car on a ferry across the channel. The traffic on the French side was absolutely horrendous! The day before was when I could buy an iPad that I had been saving up for, which was the 3rd Gen iPad Mini!

2016:

THE PEAK OF CHILDHOOD

January/February:

I spent 1 week attending a different school because my current school was stressful and I never got the support I needed.

March:

First time watching an F1 race at an unorthodox time. The 2016 Australian Grand Prix which started at 04:00 (most start at 14:00 my time)
I only really remember it for a really huge crash which people still talk about today.

April:

I changed my school from Radford Semele C of E to Exhall Grange, which is a special needs school and much better suited me. Because my old school was a lot more emphasised on performance, I instantly became known as "the smart one" which some people thought I was secretly some maths genius. (I am not, but foreshadowing...)

NEW SCHOOL LOCATION!

August:

One of my favourite holidays! We went to a place called Eye in Suffolk, which is in close proximity to Southwold which has a huuuge beach! (back when I still liked beaches)

September:

I remember this was the time when I fully got into F1, and was at this point where I have watched nearly every race since the 2016 Italian Grand Prix. This was also at a time when I got really into the Codemasters F1 Games, which I had F1 2010 and 2014 on my Xbox 360 at the time. That would soon change and become one of the biggest aspects of my life going forwards.

October:

I remember a fun Hallowe'en that year going around Stockton doing usual kid Hallowe'en stuff with my brother and a few of his friends. There was a funny incident at my street where we knocked on this guy's house, but he had no decorations up, so we were told to just hide. Me, not understanding, thought we were trying to jumpscare him, which I embarrassingly did, and the dude had a resemblance to Max Verstappen, which I didn't hesitate to shout that out. Needless to say he wasn't very pleased. 🥲

December 7:

I had a packed birthday this year.
This was when I upgraded my console to an Xbox One and got the 2016 F1 game, which made me very happy! But there also was an annual trip that my class did every December where they go to see a random play at a pantomime! So that was a fun one!

December:

There was a day with very heavy snowfall but with little accumulation. But the lunch break when the snowfall was at its peak was very fun to say the least.

2017:

THE GOOD DAYS

February:

I went solo to my grandma's again! There wasn't really a motive other than wanting to do it again after 2014. It was at this point when this would become an annual event for me. I also had a game called "Dancing Line" which is like a rhythm game, you're a line and you tap to move 90°, but you tap on the beat of some random tune. It was on this little trip when I managed to complete the entire game! Though it was still in its infancy, so there was only like 6 stages. I will never forget my celebration of that final tap of the "The Chaos" chart.

March:

The 2017 F1 season started, which would be my first full season! My dad's team had signed Finnish driver Valtteri Bottas, who would instantly become my favourite for the next few years. This was also the year when the Ferrari team and their lead driver Sebastian Vettel would become an instant challenge to my dad's team, Mercedes,'s dominance.

A Mercedes Formula 1 race car speeding on a track with a blurred green background.

April:

Bottas won his first race!! Happy days.

June:

We moved from our house in Stockton, Southam to a HUUUGE house in Marton, which is somewhere in between Southam and Rugby. It is a Grade II Listed Building so it's a pretty special property.

The 2017 Azerbaijan Grand Prix was pure and utter chaos!!

NEW HOME LOCATION!

July 7:

I had a surgery to have my cochlear implants! This was because my hearing, which was almost profound hearing loss from birth, was diminishing and would eventually make hearing aids useless. Though the anesthesia made me really sick.
I also had my first mobile phone, which was an iPhone SE.

July:

Bottas won his second race in Austria after almost jumping the start which was pretty damn funny.

September:

I started Year 6 which would be my final year in primary education. I was initially very scared because a kid who had a negative reputation would be in my class, but it turned out he's actually a pretty cool guy! It took a few months but me and him actually got along pretty well!!

The Ferraris, my dad's team's rivals absolutely imploded after crashing at the very start of the 2017 Singapore Grand Prix.

December 7:

I got a Thrustmaster wheel for my F1 gaming!

December 11:

We got 2 cats! Lola and Harvey. Lola for whatever reason went to my room and would make a living on my bed. And she still does to this day! Lola is incredibly special to me for this reason and she basically acts as my passive antidepressant.

A black and white long-haired cat sitting on a floor near electronic cords and a backpack, with a dark background.

2018:

January:

The snowy weather didn't stop (still a once in my lifetime experience) it got worse. At its peak, the very back of our garden had a bank of snow that was approximately 1m deep! It is still the deepest snow I had ever experienced in my whole life!

February:

A mix of a lot of shit.

The 2018 F1 Preseason testing and livery reveals was a fun one!

My parents went to NYC during February half-term so my Nannie and Poppa would be with us for the week (though I was hideously sick with a flu)

The famous (or infamous) Beast From The East event hit the UK which dumped another few cm of snow. I was a bit angry at the time cuz I wanted to do gardening but upon reflection, I'd kill for that now.

March:

The 2018 F1 Season started with Ferrari dominance with Vettel winning the first 2 races.. (Bottas got so close in Bahrain tho T-T)

Oh yea my parents started arguing.. a lot!

May:

My parents got divorced (not positive per se, but an important moment that has had a big impact on my life that will explain why a bunch of stuff happens from here on out)

June:

My dad moves out and into the Leamington Spa town centre. Only negative was that I had to share a room with my youngest brother while my other brother got to be in my dad's room by himself while my dad would sleep on a futon in the main room. The motif was that I am the eldest, so I would be better for taking care of my youngest brother, but having a teenage girl in the same room as a young boy did make me uncomfortable. Luckily I had negotiated for me and my dad to swap sleeping places, so he would sleep in that room and I'd have the futon, before it was swapped out to a mattress that he would just plonk on the floor. We would go to our dad's every 2 weekends; so it would be weekend at home, weekend at dad's, weekend at home, weekend at dad's, in a loop.

UNRAVELING

NEW DAD LOCATION

July:

My mother would start dating who we call Karl. That is because that is his name. :) He has a daughter who is slightly older than me and a son who is quite a bit younger and very sporty. We all liked him because he was funny.
He lived in Kenilworth and we would go to visit either in the main park or at his place.

August:

This summer was like a California summer. It was very hot and dry. We spent a lot of our summer in our backgarden because it was huge and it just refused to rain. Sadly it did make all the grass very yellow and the air very dry which my lungs didn't have too much fun.
My dad would start dating who we call Louise, like Karl, because that is her name! She has 2 twin boys who are a few years younger than me. They would always argue with each other.

September:

I started secondary school in Y7. I was placed in a class where I got along well with my classmates initially.
Karl fully moved in with my mum.

October:

My mum and Karl would move into a newbuild estate in Southam. It wasn't the best but it got the job done for somewhere temporary and cheap because the huge house we lived in was far too expensive for my mum and Karl to pay for.

NEW HOME LOCATION!

November:

I started to really like science as a school subject, because we did a mix of chemistry and physics and it was so different compared to what science was like in primary, I really liked the practical side of it and the theory I engaged well with because I was naturally very curious as to how the experiments worked and why what happened happened.

December 7:

I got my first smartwatch, which was special to me because I was very interested in tech in general, and all the tracking things I thought were really cool and futuristic, my peers in my class seemed to agree, and I even inspired one of them to get one of their own! It was a Series 3 Apple Watch.

December 25:

I remember getting a blue bicycle and a little chemistry set thingy. Kept me occupied for a good few months to a year.

2019:

TROUBLE ARISES

January:

Not all positive, but important. The relationship between me and my class deteriorated extremely fast. It took less than 1 week for me to be the "popular one" to likely one of the most hated in my entire year group. It instantly made me feel like an outsider and would result in a hugely negative blow to my social confidence. One that I still have issues with today. I was only left with one friend from my year group but was unfortunately in a different class.

February 22:

I upgraded my phone from an iPhone SE to an iPhone 8+, which I was very interested with because it has 2 rear cameras which I had fun playing around with. It was also this phone where I started streaming audio directly to my hearing implants (a very nice feature because it means that my cochlear implants double up as headphones but without the physical limitations of a speaker because of how implants work)

February:

I never really vibe with action/combat games but it was at this time when I caved to all the Brawl Stars advertisements I saw on YouTube, and I instantly really enjoyed the game and it would become a centerpiece of my life for the foreseeable future.

March:

Karl's son would get into Brawl, so we would play together a lot when he came around every 2 weekends (on the weekend when I was home thankfully)

May:

We got a new puppy, Monty, a chocolate labrador!
My dad moved to a different flat in Leamington Spa.

NEW DAD LOCATION!

August:

We took a holiday to Center Parcs, one outside of Nottingham. It was during this holiday when a funny incident happened and kickstarted an inside joke in my mum's side of the family that still runs today! I went back to the house earlier due to burnout, while they stayed out. When they got back, there were about 6-8 Canadian geese in the house because the backdoor was open. I did not even realise they were there and it was very shocking to the others to see me on the couch with a bunch of geese in the house!

December 7:

My bedroom got an upgrade going from a 32-inch screen to a 42-inch screen, which vastly improved my F1 game experience!

December 24/25:

We spent the holiday season at my aunt's (my dad's sister) Who's then husband had an awesome computer setup which kept me well-occupied.

2020:

A TALE OF 2 HALVES AND A TURNING POINT

February:

We got a red fox labrador, Rusty!

My dad moved back into RLS town centre!

NEW DAD LOCATION!

March:

I moved class due to extreme bullying. From MDU to CLA, which they were much more welcoming and chilled out compared to the chaotic nature of MDU. I instantly got along well with the others in the class.

March 23:

The United Kingdom as a whole was placed under lockdown for the COVID-19 Pandemic.

April:

It took me this long to get into Minecraft, but here I am!
The spring was very warm so I could spend a lot of time in the backyard!

May-August:

Since the lockdown lasted so much longer than expected, I had so much free time!!

September:

Not positive, but important, a huge period of continuous anxiety led me in to a deep and intense depression, and I wouldn't stop being physically sick.

November 22:

I upgraded my phone from an iPhone 8+ to an iPhone 12. The removing of the button made navigation a learning curve.

November 29:

F1 would witness one of its worst accidents in the modern era and a miraculous survival! I still remember my teary reaction to watching it live.

December:

A nice little golden holiday season that brought some positivity to a very difficult end to the year.

2021:

A SLOW RECOVERY

January:

The second half of my Year 9 Academic year started with Lockdown Part II. This time, the school was much more prepared, and would just put the classes on Microsoft Teams. I would stay home on Monday-Wednesday, and would go into a very closed off school where there were only 1-5 students per YEAR GROUP, not per class, with 1 staff member per group, and all were in different rooms, but they'd just go on Teams and do respective classes. Though we got some social life in there and was very enjoyable for me to be able to freely talk to about 5 people in a room during those days.

March:

The Lockdown ended and school went back to normal.
The 2021 F1 season started and my dad's team were immediately challenged by Red Bull and Max Verstappen, who I supported both to troll him and because I wanted to see someone different win!

June:

Mum and Karl moved to Hillmorton, just outside of Rugby! They still live there today!

NEW HOME LOCATION!

July:

I started playing a game that was very different to my likings. Shining Nikki by Paper Games, though I was too shy to share my interest due to intense fear of judgement.
The F1 rivalry between Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton and Red Bull's Max Verstappen would turn violent after a huge accident at Silverstone which caused friction between me and my dad over the sport.

August:

Mum and Karl would get married, making Karl my stepdad, who I will refer going forward from here.
We also had 2 separate weekends at my Nannie and Poppa's which I have fond memories of.

September:

My passion for music was reestablished.
Brawl Stars would do a collaboration with Beatstar, a 3k rhythm game, which I instantly enjoyed playing and made my passion for music stronger and it helped me discover a lot of different music and made me understand that my preferred music genre is Rock and Heavy Metal.

December:

My dad and Louise would get married, making Louise my stepmother, who I will refer to as such from here on out. They would wed in Gretna Green, which is a small village on the Scottish side of the Anglo-Scotland border.

December 12:

Max Verstappen, who I backed that year would win his first F1 World Drivers' Championship. Sadly under extremely controversial circumstances. It was so divisive, that it is still being argued about. To. This. Day!!

December 26:

I upgraded my laptop to an ASUS Vivobook..

2022:

A HUGE CHANGE

February:

My best friend got a partner, which was someone my other friend got along with very well, so we all would hang out during break and lunchtimes.
I would start dabbling in online communities.

March:

The 2022 F1 Season would start, which marked a huge regulation change, which meant that the cars were very different!

Two Formula 1 race cars with black and yellow livery on a track, with one displaying the Honda logo on its rear wing.

Sadly for my dad, this regulation change would mark the end of his team's, Mercedes, dominance as they struggled to get with the new regulations. The 2022 Season would mark the first time they didn't win the World Constructors' Championship since 2013! Yes, they won 8 seasons all in a row in one of the most dominant spells in the sport's history!
After a few wins out the blocks for Ferrari, Red Bull and Max Verstappen would instantly start absolutely dominating the sport, which was incredibly boring and made me dislike Red Bull and Verstappen a little bit. It's a given in sports like F1, fans hate dominance because it is usually very boring.

April:

My dad and stepmother move to somewhere different in the RLS town centre.

NEW DAD LOCATION

May:

I came across a new game, Project SEKAI: Feat. Hatsune Miku, which would instantly become a favourite of mine, and would start getting me into anime and Japan in general. However, due to the stigma against anime among my school and family, I kept it very hidden.

July:

The UK had an absolutely INSANE heatwave and set a new record for the hottest temperature ever recorded in the country of over 40°C!! (more on the impacts it had on me in the negative story)
The 2022 British Grand Prix I watched with my dad and stepbrother, the race was so good that I still remember our excitement. I will never forget our excited screaming at the THROUGH GOES HAMILTON moment! Just raw and epic racing! Though the start was hindered by a massive crash, and the incredibly annoying Just Stop Oil protestors storming the track. The latter of which was unaired.

August:

I came across a small Proseka community online which has had a big impact on how I see myself as a person and what my aspirations are. I also came across an individual there who has had a big impact on me personally and my life going forward.

November 22:

I upgraded my phone from an iPhone 12 to a Google Pixel 7 Pro. I had switched to Android after I felt that Apple was too restrictive

2023:

November 2022-March 2023:

One of my worst physical and mental health periods almost having me killed led to me becoming determined and radicalised to improve the health of people globally. Sadly, I have never gotten back to the health I had before this moment.

May-June:

I sat my GCSE examinations, which every UK student takes at the end of Year 11, which is the final school year when you are 15-16 (I was 16).

July-August:

I branched out into other forms of Japanese media and I got into Cities: Skylines, which launched a passion of mine into cities and urban design.

August:

I had my phone stolen in London, which meant I needed a new handset T-T

September:

I started college, which is a form of education British students take before University and after school. I went to WMGA in Coventry, which is mainly engineering focused but it also has high emphasis on STEM subjects, which made it my first time in mainstream education since the beginning of 2016. I took 3 A-Levels in Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics.

COLLAPSE AND REBOUND

COLLEGE LOCATION

October:

Sadly, college got off to a really bad start with me struggling significantly in Physics and Mathematics, which resulted in me falling behind significantly. Due to this, my confidence was shot significantly, and I would never claw it back, especially in Mathematics.

October 23:

Cities: Skylines II was released!!

December:

Winter was off to a good start with a few days of some nice medium-cold mornings, around -7°C, though it was still too warm for my liking, it was some of the coldest days I had experienced in my lifetime. I was also getting public transport to and from my dad's which gave me a huge boost in my confidence in commuting independently.

December 9-10:

These is still my favourite weekend of my whole life! My dad, stepmother and her twin sons took me on a 24h quickfire trip to Reykjavík in Iceland! I have been obsessed with the Nordic Nations ever since and aspire to live far north in Europe ever since!

A winding paved trail through a forest of evergreen trees with a view of snow-capped mountains in the distance at sunset.
Trees decorated with white Christmas lights along a dark street at night.

2024:

REGROUP

January:

I switched my Proseka gameplay from EN on my phone to JP on my old iPad to start pushing beyond Lv. 32 and start pushing into Lv. 33 and beyond.

April:

My Granddad who was with my Grandma sadly passed. Not positive but an important moment in my life.

May:

Proseka stopped working on my iPad because it was too old, though that did get me into Phigros which is very fun!!

July 4:

The UK finally got rid of the Conservative Government, though in hindsight, Labour isn't that much different and my QOL has not improved!

September:

I started my second and final year in college, which after the disastrous first year, I went all in on the second year, which saw much improvement.

December 7:

I got an upgrade from my iPad 6th Gen to a Samsung Galaxy Tab S9. My Granny and Granddad came to visit and we all went out and had dinner at the Harvester (which is a restaurant).

2025:

ALL OR NOTHING

January-May:

With exams in June, I did nothing but study for the most part. The tablet helped a lot because it meant I no longer had to deal with the texture of paper which I am super sensitive to and it always discouraged me from studying at full blast.

April:

My mum and stepdad took me and my 2 brothers on a spring holiday to Puerto del Carmen on Lanzarote. Which is a Spanish Canary Island. Despite me disliking warm climates, I do like a holiday when it is consistently above 20°C and sunny! It is up there with Eye/Southwold as one of my favourite holidays, though it still doesn't quite beat Reykjavík.

Modern white apartment building surrounded by tall palm trees and a black iron fence, with a blue sky in the background.
A tropical outdoor scene at dusk with two palm trees, outdoor lighting, a statue, and a menu board near the water.
View of a beach with palm trees, buildings, and the ocean in the background during daytime.
Scenic view of a wide purple, green, and brown volcanic mountain landscape under a blue sky with wispy clouds.

June:

A-Level exams

June-August:

The quite frankly torturous wait for A-Level exam results.

August:

I upgraded my phone from a Google Pixel 7 Pro to a Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra

August 14:

A-Level exam results day!!
I got accepted into the University of Aberdeen

September 15:

Me, my mum and stepdad drove up to Aberdeen to get myself settled in the accommodation before the academic year started.
I got a bicycle to navigate around the city.

September 22:

Start of the 2025-26 Academic Year

UNIVERSITY LOCATION

November:

Unexpected heavy snowfall in Aberdeen!! Happy days!

December:

The first half of the academic year ends.

2026:

A NEW ME
