Matthew, you are the first person I ever got to call a best friend. You were with me when I went through my struggles in early primary school and you still stuck with me after I left for a specialist school for almost an extra 4 years. Though we haven’t physically met since 2019 nor been in contact since early 2022. It’s hard to imagine what my childhood would’ve been like without you. You understood me and stuck by me and I can’t thank you enough. I hope you’re doing well.

Where do I even start, Lainey? When I first moved to my specialist school, you were the first person to be around me. And you stuck with me. Despite being separated because we were a school year apart, you were still there during communal times. You showed me around the school and helped me settle in. I’d already be thankful enough for that; but the way you helped my brother who was suffering greatly when he joined.. I seriously dunno what to say. I’m not sure what your aspirations are, but you really excel in hospitality and making a friendly environment.

Clarke, it feels weird putting a teacher here, but the way you interacted with me when I was struggling has made such a good impact on my mentality. Not only did you teach me history, you were my form tutor and always made the form times a fun environment to get me in a happy mood before lessons, which helped me massively. Your conversation between myself, my family and school support is absolutely incredible and I know for certain that other students will be saying the same thing about you! Good man!

Izzy, you and me are so alike. I know your struggles with socialising and I relate with it. You helped me when my entire class in early secondary turned on me. Despite the pair of us being teased for always being together, we pushed through it! I feel bad that I couldn’t do more to help you during the end of secondary where it seemed you were struggling greatly and I wish I could rewind time and help more. It’s such a shame that we have lost contact since we finished school and I hope we can connect sometime again in the future.

But it isn’t just the weather, the way you expressed your interests was very different to how I do, but it was so compatible!
